Jens Dam Ziska is an assistant professor at the University of the Faroe Islands (Fróðskaparsetur Føroya) where he is also director of studies in art. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, a fellow at the Warburg Institute in London, and a teaching associate at the UCLA Department of Art. Jens holds a MFA degree in painting and drawing from UCLA as well as a DPhil in philosophy from the University of Oxford. His paintings have been shown in venues such as the Nordic House in Tórshavn, The Mistake Room in Los Angeles, as well as the New Wight Gallery at UCLA. His work is held in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Art in the Faroe Islands as well as in private collections in the United States, Sweden, Denmark, France, and the Faroe Islands.
